Hey everyone! It's been awhile since we have posted anything - we have been working with some WONDERFUL clients over the last couple of months. Beautiful brides, sweet little kiddos and some serious lovebirds!

We have also been working on revamping our "branding" and changing around our website a bit. We are SO excited to announce that it is ready to be seen! Our official new name is "Impact Productions: Photo & Films." We added a tagline "express you." So what does it mean? We were always telling clients that we wanted anything we did for them to express THEIR personality and THEIR style - and not to just give them boring, traditional cookie-cutter photos and films. So that's why we thought it would be great to just add it as a part of our branding - because we really mean it.

Planning a Wedding?

Hey there brides... and friends & family of brides!

We are really excited to share this with you! If you are planning a wedding in or around the Springfield, OH or Dayton, OH area - you may be able to save over $1000 on your wedding! Cool huh?

They JUST ordered and received 1000 savings books, hot off the press, with 30 local wedding vendors (catering, transportation, venues, photographers, planners, videographers, flowers, etc.) who have all agreed to offer AWESOME discounts off of their services (over $1000 in savings!). All you have to do is complete ONE of Marriage Resource Center's RINGS classes or complete pre-marital mentoring, and the book is all yours!

Why do I care? Well, I want to help you out! The first way - helping prepare for your marriage. I think sometimes we can get caught up in all the preparation for our wedding, that we forget to think about preparing for our MARRIAGE. Marriage Resource Center offers very practical and helpful information for pre-marital couples. (My husband and I went through their pre-marital mentoring and LOVED it!) It helped us think about and talk through things that we may not have thought about BEFORE it became an issue. It also gave us tools to use if issues or problems did arise in our marriage to keep things from escalating out of control. It was definitely the best thing we did in preparation for our wedding.

The second way - saving you money on your wedding! Along with several other vendors, WE are in the savings book too! Impact is offering $100 off ANY wedding photography package, $100 off ANY wedding videography package and 10% off an engagement photo session with us! So... if you are wanting to save money on your photographer and videographer - it's SOOO worth it!

Aaron & Erin - MARRIED! | Ohio Wedding Photographer

When I met with Erin to talk a little bit about the details of her wedding, I KNEW I was going to have fun shooting it. She told me about the brightly colored (and so, so GORGEOUS) flowers that she ordered from Australia and the fun polka-dotted toes that all the bridesmaids were going to have. Plus, their names were Erin & Aaron, so they had to be cool.

We showed up as everyone was finishing up getting ready and Erin was just glowing from head to toe, and SO ready to marry her prince. Her dress was definitely a princess dress, plenty of poof and some elegant bling - which from what I heard was what she always wanted to wear.

It was definitely cold outside on their wedding day (you just never know with Ohio weather!), but we got to sneak a few outdoor bridal portraits in before the wedding. Erin totally rocked the white hooded overcoat she wore for a few shots.

The rest of the day was just awesome. My favorite part of taking wedding pictures is capturing emotion - it turns just a regular old posed picture into a real captured memory. Both the bride and groom's families were just awesome to work with - so full of energy and excitement! That's the way we like it!

Leigh and Mike had almost TWENTY people come to our Facebook page to enter them to win the free wedding photography package - I was so amazed! Seeing all the friends and family that supported them and took the time to enter them was heartwarming, and having so many entries definitely increased their chances of being randomly drawn to win!

I had the privilege of taking Leigh and Mike's engagement pictures a few months ago. They were such a sweet couple - and so photogenic! Mike is away right now at basic training in preparation to serve our country and Leigh is patiently (the best she can!) waiting for his return home. They are both very hard-working and devoted people, and love each other greatly in a sweet, innocent way.

I'm so excited to have the opportunity to shoot their wedding and capture their wedding memories and to be able to do it for free is even better! They are very deserving, and I'm glad that I can help them out in any way that I can to ease the expenses of the wedding!

Suttles Family on a Rainy Day | Ohio Family Photographer

Mom (Melissa) had been wanting to get family pictures done for awhile with us, so when the day finally came and it was RAINING - we went for it and had fun! I loved the purple theme, especially the purple shoes... bright colors are always so much fun and turn out so good in photos. We walked around the Urbana University campus trying to find the driest places possible to take pictures, but I still think all of us ended up with water almost clear up to our jeans' knees. This family was a lot of fun, and older brother, Barry, brought a couple friends with him who also wore purple and had fun getting in a few pictures too!

I just love the energy this family had, and you can definitely see it coming through in their photos! : )
